Herbert S. Smith, D.M.D.
Dr. Herbert Smith graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1975. After spending two years in the U.S. Army, where he got experience in all phases of dentistry, Dr. Smith decided to return for an additional two years of advanced training in the pediatric dentistry residency program at Howard University.
He opened his practice limited to pediatric dentistry in Larchmont in 1980 when his wife’s career brought them to the New York area.
Dr. Smith is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at N.Y.U. and a staff pediatric dentist at United Cerebral Palsy.
He was a past president of the New York State Association of Pediatric Dentists. He belongs to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Smith is very proud that twenty pediatricians and many other physicians and nurses have brought their children to him for their care. He has even treated the children of a number of dentists who are specialists that don’t see kids themselves.
Westchester Magazine has recognized Dr. Smith for several years as one of the leading pediatric dentists in the county.
